At Jash Design & Build, our process is designed to bring clarity, confidence, and structure to every project. From the first site visit to the final walkthrough, we guide clients through each stage with thoughtful planning, hands-on project management, and clear communication. Every project begins with an on-site consultation. We visit the property to assess the space, take measurements, review layouts, document existing conditions with photos, and learn more about your goals, needs, and wish list. This stage is about understanding both the vision and the practical realities of the project so we can guide you properly from the very beginning.
Once we have gathered the initial information, we review the scope internally and provide an estimated cost direction. This helps establish whether the project aligns with your goals and budget before moving into deeper design and planning. We believe in being honest early, educating clients properly, and helping them make informed decisions that support the best long-term outcome.
After approaching the budget proposal, we begin developing the design. This includes layout planning, hand sketches, detailed drawings, and 3D renderings where needed. Our design team coordinates what the client wants and brings their requirements for the space to life. We hand sketch on-site during site consultations to help you visualize more than just the design — these drawings and sketches are based on realistic feasibility.
For projects that require permits, we coordinate the next steps with the appropriate professionals, including architects and engineers where needed. We help move the project through drawings, approvals, and permitting so everything is set up correctly before construction begins. This stage is critical to reducing risk and preventing costly issues later on.
At this stage, we finalize the interior design details that will define the finished space. From flooring, tile, cabinetry, countertops, paint colours, and lighting to plumbing fixtures and hardware, we guide clients through each selection with a focus on quality, function, and visual cohesion. Our goal is to ensure every finish supports the design vision while also fitting the project scope, budget, and long-term use of the space.
After approvals are in place, we finalize the project package, order materials, and prepare the site for construction. This includes scheduling trades, planning each phase and organizing protection measures in advance. We believe preparation is a major part of a successful build, and that careful planning leads to better results on site.
During construction, we manage the work closely and maintain clear communication throughout. A project manager serves as your point of contact, and Ash is always involved. He will personally inspect each job, even if there are multiple ongoing projects, managing quality to HIS standard. We also take site protection seriously. We cover floors, walls, stairs, and finished surfaces, using controlled demolition practices, dust barriers, and negative air systems where needed. At every stage, your investment is protected.
As the project moves forward, progress photos are documented through our software so both clients and trades can stay aligned. Once construction is complete, we conduct a final walkthrough, confirm approval, and stand behind our work after handoff. We believe strong client relationships continue beyond completion, which is why follow-up, warranty, and ongoing care remain part of our process.
